International Romani Union and Roma Culture Centre Latvia invites young and talented Roma artists to participate in the new competition – Rising Stars of Roma World 2016 in Jurmala, Latvia.
Roma World was launched in 2015 http://ircf.eu/ The International Romani Culture Festival will continue to present the world renowned Roma artists and bands. This year artists will gather from 15 countries. This year all of the performances will be broadcast via Riga 24 TV channel. The Festival is organised by Roma Culture Centre of Latvia and International Romani Union (IRU)
Open concert hall by the sea is a legendary stage for many established artists of the world.
The 10 selected artists will be chosen via internet application, by sending video links to their live performances.
The young artists will perform during the concerts in front of a full house, between the performances of the artists of the Festival. International Jury will rank their performances.
Applications are welcome until the end of May.
By the 18th of June the 10 selected entries will be announced.
